I am the founder of Victress Over Darkness and my heart’s desire is to make a difference in this world and “finish well”. I believe we can all effect change if we work together in solidarity.
I have worked as an attorney in Tallahassee, Florida for thirty-eight years. I began my legal career as a prosecutor and after a number of years opened my own law practice where I have truly loved meeting the needs of my many, many clients. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed my legal career, I always wanted to do more. So because I have dedicated my life in service to God, I now want to use the talents God has given me to fight injustice around the globe.
After becoming aware of the horror of human trafficking I struggled, as I am sure you have, with what I could possibly do to bring the perpetrators to justice and see victims set free and restored to health. It seems so overwhelming; how can one person make a difference? Well, together we can! Corrupt and wicked people are making vast amounts of money abusing and ruining the lives of men, women and children. I want all women and men of courage and valor to join with me and wear my Victress (Female Victor) symbol to demonstrate clearly to the world that we stand against and will fight human trafficking. I hope that my Victress symbol will become the international symbol in the fight against human trafficking. My plan is to sell this product, expand my business and give away all of the profit from the sale of my jewelry or other Victress products to the great organizations that are doing the work on the ground, who are in the trenches daily and who are committed to the fight to free women, men and children from human trafficking.
If there is one thing everyone should agree on is that people are not for sale. We must all agree that people should not be held captive, branded, sold into sexual slavery or worked as slaves. All people of conscience must agree that trafficking of human beings for profit is depraved and MUST BE STOPPED!
